Week 8 Dev Log: July 3rd - July 9th

What we have done so far:

This week we gathered the feedback from alpha and discussed changes. The fun of our game stemmed from the TV mechanic with the breaking news broadcasts and subtitles from the news anchors. The humorous elements of it was popular and shifted our focus more towards a narrative game as opposed to an action game. Other advice was to chain our quests (ex. water the wheat then use it to lure the sheep), and aim for shorter quests and interactions. It was also advised to use the dialogue to our advantage to handle any limitations in our game (ex. how much wheat the player can pick up at a time).

What our next steps are: 

- tune the movement 

- discuss what other quests to add 

- brainstorm way to display the objectives rather than only text

-  adjust the speeds of the words that appear on screen to prevent information overload 

Important discoveries along the way:

- the morality system is not worth it and goes against the tone of our game, it will be removed

- invest more time into writing witty dialogue
